Niwot Youth Sports has many volunteer positions, from just an hour of manual labor doing field maintenance, to working directly on the Board of Directors year-round. For more information about any of our volunteer positions and what you can do to help, please contact Galen Scheidenhelm

Current open volunteer Positions

Board Member:
NYS has an open board meeting every year for elections. We always have openings and would welcome new volunteers to join the Board of Directors. Our goal is to make this an enjoyable experience for kids and parents alike. In order for this to happen we need reliable and responsible people making decisions that can make this happen.

League Commissioners:
Help to organize teams and coaches prior to and during the season.

Coaching:
Volunteer head and assistant coaches are the lifeblood of Niwot Youth Sports, and coaching positions may be available at any time. If you are interested in coaching, please visit our About page and email the director of the particular sport you’d like to coach for more information. Volunteer coaches must complete a background check and concussion awareness course to coach in Niwot Youth Sports.

Field Maintenance:
Many opportunities are available including mowing grass, painting dugouts, raking leaves, and many more.

Team Parent:
Might involve making snack schedules, organizing a phone chain for rainouts, or even helping in the planning of the end of season party.

Opening Day Helper:
Opening day will be May 3rd this year. We always need volunteers to help set up or work a station for an hour or two.

Other:
We are always in need of a welder, small engine repair, carpentry, and manual labor.
